Building a Connected Community in Woodlea

The Woodlea Islamic Network (WIN) began as a small gathering of families who wanted to build stronger relationships within their neighbourhood.

​

What started as simple gatherings for meals, outings, and community discussions gradually grew into a wider network of families committed to supporting one another and contributing positively to the local community.

Families from diverse backgrounds including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh came together through shared language, culture, and values, creating a supportive community rooted in the principles of kindness, charity, and respect for neighbours.

Over time, the community expanded from a few families to regular monthly gatherings focused on learning, social connection, and community development.

Today, WIN continues to provide a platform for families and young people to stay connected to their values while contributing to the wider community.
