At Woodlea Islamic Network (WIN), our work is guided by a simple but powerful Qur’anic teaching
“Be kind to the near neighbour and the distant neighbour”
(Qur’an 4:36).
This verse is not just inspiration — it is the foundation of how we serve.
Through our initiatives, we aim to bring this teaching to life in a practical way — by caring for those around us with dignity, compassion, and sincerity.
The WIN Neighbourly Table
Feeding our Community with Dignity
The WIN Neighbourly Table is a weekly food relief and social connection initiative held at the Melton Town Centre Amphitheatre. We provide high-quality, warm meals to residents experiencing food insecurity or social isolation.

Dignified Service: We serve 45+ fresh, catered meals every week, professionally prepared by local Melton business Umma Thai.

Human Connection: Beyond the meal, our team of 16+ trained volunteers focuses on providing a warm, respectful connection to combat social loneliness in our growth corridors.

Independent Leadership: Following a successful soft launch alongside St. Vincent de Paul, WIN now manages this initiative independently to ensure long-term community resilience.

Inspired by the Qur’anic call to care for both the “near and distant neighbour,” we serve everyone — regardless of background, faith, or circumstance.

The WIN Neighbourly Wardrobe
Sustainability, Choice, and Respect
Building on our successful clothing drives in 2024, we are proud to launch the WIN Neighbourly Wardrobe—a circular clothing initiative designed to promote environmental sustainability while protecting the dignity of our neighbours.

We believe that abundance in our own closets can find a meaningful home with a neighbour who needs it.

WIN Families Donate: Our members donate high-quality, pre-loved clothing.

Local Partnership: These items are redistributed through our local partner community shop in Melton.

Empowerment Through Choice: In return, WIN receives free-service coupons that we distribute at the Neighbourly Table.

Dignity in Shopping: These coupons allow residents to visit the shop at their own convenience and choose exactly what fits their style and their family’s needs for FREE.
Dignity Packs
Sometimes, it’s the smallest basics that make the biggest difference. We are planning to distribute Dignity Packs alongside our meals and clothing coupons. These curated kits contain essential hygiene items—including toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap—with specific packs designed to meet the unique needs of both men and women.
Our Environmental Impact
By encouraging the reuse and redistribution of quality apparel, we are actively reducing textile waste and keeping the City of Melton clean and sustainable.
