🗓️ Our First Session of 2026
We gather every month in the year except during school break between Dec-Jan. Our community gathering marked our first session in 2026 after the school break. We launched a new initiative called Talent Lab, where children worked in teams using donated LEGO sets by Good360 to complete a building challenge guided by five key values: Respect, Kindness, Clear Communication, Fairness and Trust. 🤝🚀
There were six teams across three age groups (3–11, 11–16, and 16–18 years). The LEGO sets were distributed equally to each team and treated as an amanah (trust), teaching children to value and responsibly use shared resources. 💎
💰 Prize Money & Generosity
Prize money ($150, $100, and $75) was awarded to the top three teams. Importantly, the children were given the opportunity to donate a portion of their winnings toward purchasing halal meat for families experiencing hardship.
The children collectively donated $130 🤲
A community member matched this with an additional $150 ➕
Through this fund, we sourced approximately 10–12 kg of halal meat and distributed it in partnership with a local charity group, which supports homeless individuals, migrants, and financially disadvantaged families. 🥩🕊️
Additionally, the LEGO sets used during the Talent Lab were gifted to participating children at the conclusion of the program, ensuring continued learning and collaborative play beyond the event. 🎁
🌈 The Vision Behind Talent Lab
We used donated LEGO sets by Good360 to launch our very first Talent Lab, an experimental space designed to teach children core values through hands-on collaboration. We organized 18 children into six teams across three age groups: primary (3–11), secondary (11–16), and young adults (16–18). 👦👧
The challenge was to build a model while practicing five key values: ✨ Mutual Respect (Iḥtirām) ✨ Kindness (Raḥma) ✨ Clear Communication (Qawlan Sadīdan) ✨ Fairness (‘Adl) ✨ Trust (Amānah)
To celebrate their hard work and dedication, we will be gifting these LEGO sets to the participating children during our upcoming Eid celebrations so they can continue building and practicing these values at home! 🌙🕌
Solving the puzzle of teamwork! 🧩🤝
In our latest Talent Hub challenge, kids were evaluated on a "Rubik’s Rubric" that defined success through Islamic values. To reach a score of "5 - Excellent," teams had to demonstrate the above 5 key values

The donated LEGO sets from Good360 became a powerful educational tool.

The children experienced firsthand that success is not only about winning - it is about character and contribution. By choosing to donate part of their prize money, they internalised the importance of giving back. ❤️📈
🤝 Interfaith Collaboration
Our partnership with Local Charity Group - a church-led initiative - further strengthened interfaith collaboration. This partnership promoted peace, mutual respect, and shared service across communities. It set a positive example that people of different faith backgrounds can unite around common values to serve those in need. 🕊️🤝✝️☪️

🚀 A Long-Term Vision
Talent Lab is only the beginning. The success of our first Talent Lab has laid the foundation for a much larger vision. We intend to continue nurturing our youth by providing a consistent space where they can practice core values—such as Trust (Amānah) and Fairness (‘Adl)—while tackling increasingly complex, real-world problems.
Our roadmap for the future includes:
🤖 From LEGO to Robotics: We plan to transition from building blocks to robotics and coding, challenging our children to develop technical skills alongside their character.
🏢 A Multi-Faith Innovation Hub: Our ultimate goal is to establish this program as a local 'Community Hub.' We envision a space where children from all faith backgrounds work side-by-side, cultivating good habits and a spirit of collaboration while solving problems that benefit the wider community. 🌱 Sustainable Philanthropy: We will continue to link these educational sessions with community service. By donating items or prize money to local food pantries and supporting financially disadvantaged families, our kids learn that their technical 'wins' are most meaningful when they lead to a community 'win.' 🏆🙌
