WNT Cares for the Community - Dignity, Delivered with Love
This Friday, 19th June, our volunteers came together for something a little different at the WIN Neighbourly Table.
Alongside the warm meal from Ummah Thai Restaurant, we packed and distributed Dignity Packs — each one filled with everyday essentials: a toothbrush and toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, a roll-on deodorant, and a hand warmer for the cold night ahead.
And for the little ones? Every child who came to collect food on the night also received a Lego set — and the smiles on their faces said it all.
Tied to the outside of each bag was a card with a flower and a simple reminder:
"And the best of people are those who are most beneficial to others."
The flower was chosen with care because just like every flower, every person is unique and deserving of dignity, kindness, and respect.
Voices from the Heart
One lady, after reading the card tied to her bag, paused and said quietly — "This is very true, what is written here." Simple words, but they carried so much meaning.
A little later, another lady came back after receiving her pack. She wanted us to know — "It is very good. Everything inside, I liked it all."
From those who donated, to those who packed, to those who delivered - every pair of hands made this possible. JazakAllah Khair, thank you to all who played a part.
